Message from David Goodman

Over the last few years DundeeWealth and a group of committed sponsors have come together to support a two hour comedy show featuring Canadian and international stand-up comics that raised money for youth at risk. This year, on October 6th, Scotiabank and Dynamic Funds are presenting a more competitive night of laughs that will introduce complete amateurs to the comedic stage in the first annual production of Humour Me. We're excited to welcome Gerry Dee as our host.

Humour Me gives a concept commonly found on reality TV a comedic twist by inviting three Bay Street executives to perform a short stand-up routine before Dennis Miller takes the stage in the second half of the show. This year, Rohit Sehgal of Dynamic Funds, Kevin Sullivan of GMP and Geoff Beattie of the Woodbridge Company will be competing to be recognized as the "Funniest CEO" of the evening. They'll get some help with their jokes from local comedians Ian Sirota, Peter Anthony and Allyson Smith and will be judged on-stage by a panel of industry veterans including Spencer Rice (Kenny vs. Spenny, Single White Spenny) Jake Gold (Canadian Idol) and Yuk Yuk's founder Mark Breslin. They'll be judged on the hilarity of their humour and more importantly, on how much money they raise.

As the event evolves we remain focused on raising funds to support organizations that deliver vital services to youth at risk. Since 2008, we've donated $400,000 to some incredible groups who are working hard to make a real difference in the lives of less fortunate young Canadians. This year the net proceeds of Humour Me will be donated to Trails Youth Initiatives, Blessings in a Backpack and the Child, Youth and Family Program at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health.
