His mother sells miscellaneous things from their home, but, unfortunately, this does not make enough money to provide for all of the families needs. This is a privilege for the children living in this area because the public school charges fees that most families cannot afford to pay. Jetsada is a cheerful and talkative child who likes playing football and helps his mother by washing dishes and cleaning.

Samuel is a wonderful boy. He lives with his parents and his sister in a small bachelor condo. The economical situation in Romania is desperate, so many are without employment. His father's workplace closed down and his mother is too sick to work; so his family is now living on a very small government allowance. This family is extremely poor.

In Romania, children can go to school for free but have to buy all of their school supplies and compulsory uniforms and school bags. This makes it very difficult on parents since they, at times, don't even have enough to put food on the table. Through our support, Samuel will be provided with the school supplies and uniform that he needs. Samuel is a handsome boy who is doing well in school, where he is in kindergarten. He loves to play soccer with his friends. He also likes small cars. Sponsorship will make a vast improvement in Samuel's diet, particularly by adding protein and vitamins to his meals.

Gloria is a beautiful girl who has already suffered so much. Sadly, she has been orphaned, and she now lives with her uncle in a rural area called Chipinge. This area has been hit hard by drought for the last three years and, as a result, food and work are scarce. The family survives on the local staple: sadza, a thick corn-meal porridge, and wild green vegetables, when they can find them.

Many children living in this area cannot attend school because the public schools charge fees that most families cannot afford. Through our support, Gloria will attend a local school where she will be able to continue her education on a regular basis. Gloria enjoys speaking in her mother tongue, Shona, and playing sports. Her favorite color is pink. Our support also provides Gloria with clothes, nutritious food, shelter, medical attention and a quality education.
